11/16/15 - Replacing panels

Received e-mail from Mayor stating that APAC has a crew on-site removing and replacing panels. Received call from Joe Collins with APAC inquiring if he could add calcium to the mix. Discussed with Jerany and called Joe back and left voicemail. Per discussion with Jerany, it is acceptable for the Contractor to add calcium to the concrete mix, but be aware that doing so sometimes increases surface cracking. As the City is very sensitive to cracking, I advised Joe to take whatever precautions he deems necessary to help prevent surface cracks in the new concrete.
